To work in conjunction with the "angled" tie plates, we have also designed frets of the set of "special" tie plates needed for a plain crossing (LH side of the picture above) and "add-on" sets to provide the many extra and very complex sets of special plates for both single and double slips

Because these frets are provided separately, you will save money, and only receive the necessary correct sets of parts, when you order parts kits for simple plain crossings versus ordering kits for the more complex slips.

You can see from the "blown-up" Prototype Drawing above, just how many different special plates are used in a typical real full-size double slip.
