All Proto:87 car wheelsets are priced per wheelset (2 wheels custom made and mounted to order IN HOUSE mounted on a 2mm dia pin-point axle). We can no longer automatically obtain high volume manufactured items, or supply from stock, although we do try to keep small quantities on hand of the more commonly used sizes. Wheel diameters available include those for most HO, HOm, HOn3, locomotives and cars, and various interurbans, trolleys and streetcars.

Proto:87 wheelsets for Diesel and Electric Locomotives are normally supplied as two wheels on half axles in either "Athearn" type (3/32" half axles) or "Kato" type (1.5mm half Axles). We are also currently testing some 1/16 diameter axles for a few Bachmann models. Most RTR locos use one or other of these types.
