All individual wheelsets are Weathered SOLID NICKEL SILVER Wheels on non magnetic weathered brass axles. Upgrade your own cars and Diesel locos. Some form of working suspension is recommended for most reliable operation.

Our simple, low, pricing formula for all standard Proto:87 disk wheelsets is just:
$1.50 per wheelset
(2 wheels and one axle)

Plenty of the  most common sizes and styles in 1.015" axle lengths ( WXXD26P below)  are always in stock.
We also have smaller quantities of  the appropriate  wheel diameters for HOn3 Narrow Gauge,.
plus we supply all the wheels and axles as separate items for upgrading other locomotives
 and various interurbans, trolleys and streetcars.
Most wheels can be also be supplied in other axle lengths and end types.  Just change the part number suffix to order.
e.g. 0.970" (use suffix WXXD25P), 0.944" (use suffixWXXD24P) , 0.917" (use suffixWXXD23P)

The E-Z Rider TM  Suspension System is simplicity itself and fitting is an incredibly quick and easy task.

The E-Z Rider TM  Suspension System consists of a pair of precision preformed extremely thin metal washers  with tiny central ridges, that are fitted to the underside of the car body, against the truck king pin bosses. The trucks are removed, the washers glued in place and the trucks re-attached. It's that simple!

These tiny thin E-Z Rider TM washers are only 0.010" thick and raise the car height by less than one scale inch! So there is no need to adjust couplers and there is no apparent visual difference even to the most accurate of scale models.

The EC87 fits in the Kadee #5 Style RTR coupler pocket

The EN87 comes with a close to scale draft gear box

IMPORTANT NOTE: These couplers are not guaranteed to inter-couple with "Kadees".
However, some of our customers have reported satisfactory inter-operation with Kadee #58's.

These couplers are hand uncoupled by waving a small (4 inch by 1/8 th) magnetized rod or "magic wand" over the coupler.   Please call or email if you have any questions.
