OUR LATEST, MOST PROTOTYPICALLY CORRECT, AND MOST ACCURATELY PRECISION MILLED, "88-SAFE" FROGS

"88-SAFE" Frogs are chemically milled from solid Nickel Silver to exacting accuracy and close to prototypical realism.
While fully compliant with NMRA standards, and ALL regular HO wheels, the special extra "88 safe" design features prevent the widespread,notorious and otherwise inevitable, "bumping" of RP25, code 88 wheels (aka "semi-scale" wheels) and safely and smoothly prevent them from dropping even partly down into the open frog throat

SUPER-DETAIL KITS for the "88-Safe" frogs, with finely etched bolt head sides will be offered in Late July 09.

HERE WE SEE THE HOW THE FROG KIT IS ASSEMBLED BY STACKING THE LAYERS, USING THE STANDARD 1/8" ALIGNMENT HOLES, USING YOUR CHOICE OF GLUE OR SOLDER, THEN CUT OUT FROM ITS FRAME AS AN EXACT PROTOTYPE LENGTH, THREE DIMENSIONAL, ALL NICKEL SILVER, MODEL OF A BOLTED RAIL FROG.

WHEN FITTED INTO A TURNOUT, THE FROG CONSTRUCTION AND REALISM IS VIRTUALLY INDISTINGUISHABLE FROM THE RAIL AROUND IT.

"88-SAFE FROGS ARE UNIQUE IN THAT A WHOLE RANGE FROM #4 THRU #10, IS NOW AVAILABLE IN ALL FINE SCALE RAIL SIZES, INCLUDING CODE 40, 55, 70 AND 83.

HO INEXPENSIVE CAST PEWTER FROGS

An inexpensive option to obtain a Manganese Style frog, these are available in four frog sizes, #6, #7, #8 and #10. Nominal rail size is code 70/75 or code 83 as shown. These are Rail Bound (RB) Manganese style. The code 70/75 sizes will also operate with code 83 rail if shimmed to match code 83 rail height. Please request shim material if needed.

REGULAR PLANED STYLE (Above) and RB MANGANESE STYLE (Below)

A limited range of Premium "lost-wax" cast White Bronze Frogs. The continuous filled 0.040" wide flangeway fully supports code 88 wheelsets. Suitable for HO Fine, EM and "00 SF" standards. Currently available two styles:

a) Straight bolted rail with planed wing rails
b) Rail bound Manganese

And in a range of nominal rail heights:
Code 55, 70 and 83.

These frogs can be even further improved in appearance by adding our detail packs of cast nut and bolt ends, and finely molded rail joiners.
